B&W SquaredSome images of London Architecture I have revisited to practice processing to B&W in LR5.
Square crop was never the intent with these images when taking them so composition may not be the strongest element. Would be pleased to hear your views on the PP. Last edited by Geoff M on Mon Jul 07, 2014 9:07 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: B&W SquaredGreat PP. Really brings out the drama in these shots and takes them to a higher level. Nice work.

Re: B&W SquaredGreat atmosphere and mood with the treatment.
The third one rings the strongest for me. At first I felt the white roof top was a bit of a distraction but stepping back, it works as a nice line towards the Shard. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Re: B&W SquaredAll are excellent. I really like this part of London town and you've shown these well.

Re: B&W SquaredGreat selection and good of B&W.
Re: B&W SquaredGeoff - I really like it on the first two but I'm not so sure with the third (but that could be the composition as well)

Re: B&W SquaredThanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
None of these shots were taken with a square crop in mind so composition may not be the strongest element. I am quite happy with the PP for which I have created a preset. The preset is used as a starting point, all of these images have also had a few minor tweaks thereafter. Re: B&W SquaredGeoff
I guess you probably know that you can set the Fuji X-Pro to shoot square format? It takes a little getting used to but can be challenging to shoot in the 'classical' mode. Regards

Re: B&W Squared
Yes indeed, I was aware but have only ever shot in the 'standard' 3:2 aspect ratio with both the XE1 and XP1. If I was to use another aspect ratio option, do you know if that selected ratio is applied to the RAW files or just JPEG?
