Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. First ever time lapseI know this is a photographic, not a video forum. However, a time lapse is still-image-based. A couple of months ago we visited Port Macquarie, just down the highway from Coffs. I got up early one morning and took a couple of hundred photos, with the Fuji XT-1 built in intervalometer and a tripod, of the sunrise. I know it's fairly amateurish, but hey, I'm a rank amateur in most things.
Here's the resultant (very short) time lapse video: https://flic.kr/p/oYbxyW President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Re: First ever time lapseInteresting. I wonder if somehow you could slow the action a bit. There is a ghostly figure coming towards the camera that could add to the effect.
Re: First ever time lapseNot bad for the first time you've ever lapsed. Apart from slowing it down, the idea I got was for someone to appear from the water halfway through and walk out while getting them to walk really slowly in real time to disturb the time synchronicity.
Re: First ever time lapseMany thanks. Yes, I tried slowing it down in PS, but I don't think it worked. I may try again it again, but remember I'm a time lapse newb.

Re: First ever time lapseMaybe some padding frames? If I only knew what I was talking about

Chris, if you, the forum sage, doesn't have a clue, then what hope have I, a complete and utter dunderhead. At least that's what Robyn says... President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
