The first one works better because of the complimentary colours and composition.
The second has part of a yellow flower and this is very distracting and a further cropping may reduce image quality too much.

The colours ARE the subject! I love the Fuji colours and think that their technicians have worked some kind of magic when they designed that aspect of the sensor. Regards
