Last night being a 12% moon, I decided to get out and try capture some stars. Well I went with hubby and 4 kids after dark and well that was a mistake to start with..... late nights and kids out in the dark don't mix... so my trip was cut short when my fuse and hubby's fuse was about to blow. I got off a few shots, really happy with them all but this one in particular I wanted to share as it was shot at the highest ISO for the night. (got 10 shots off in total) varying from 800 iso up to 2000 i think.

So this shot captured the most light due to the higher iso, if I can save up enough I'd love to go wider and a better aperture so I can keep the ISO lower. But for now I am happy. Hope it looks ok to you all, it is my first and lessons were learnt. Had to share though.

Shot on Fuji X-T1 18-55mm 2.8-4
ISO 2000
F2.8
Shutter: 30"
at 18mm (27mm equivalent on 35mm format)

Exposure looks like it was pretty spot on. The icing on the cake with these types of shots are the odd stray comet that suddenly sizzles across the image space.

I like it. What makes it for me is the silhouettes of the trees and house.
