Thoughts, yes-no. It looks better, brighter in the centre than on here and with a black background.

Now, consider cropping a bit at the bottom leaving the horizon on the first bottom third and then cropping off the far left trees leaving the main trees, which now are in the centre, on the first vertical third on the left leaving the photograph in a square format. Perhaps your new composition would add visua linterest and work better. Just an idea.
