A great portrait.
I would love a bit more contrast in the B&W; there's lots of greys, but no blacks. See if you can bring the facial features out a little more.

I think it has a nice composition and the subject is interesting, its just that the light has not done you any favours, the man is in the shadow and the iron is.. well black, couple this with the bright foreground, my attention gets diverted away from the interesting bit, the man and the iron. That said, cool subject tho.

Thank you Biggerry. You hit the nail on the head; there was too much contrast in the scene to begin with for a jpg picture (snow white shirts and dark skin), also I am using a laptop and the position of the screen alters the contrast I see on the screen. In creasing the contrast meant that the man's face grew even darker. Perhaps colour would have been a better option.
