Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Well our annual holiday marks a new season every year, literally. It starts on the 1st day of spring, its so nice heading north every year away from the cool air in victoria. This year I didn't have a lot of time to take the camera out and about much, so I didn't take many photos, but bellow are a few of my favourites from the holiday, they may not look stellar or overly spectacular but they encapsulate our family holiday, the places we go the things we see and remind us of each when we look at them. Our stop over on our way home through canberra was a lovely time too, much colder than what we had just got used to up in queensland but glad to say here in victoria things are warming up and I feel much happier, as I hate the cold!! Queensland in Spring is my favourite time of year there, its not too busy, not too humid and generally the weather is pretty decent. These photos mark a new season of life for me as I step out of getting paid to photograph things like families, weddings and babies..... I have gone back to simply loving taking photos and sheesh I love it!! No pressure just good times!! Mt Tamborine Surfers Paradise Canberra

Great pics Kristen. Numbers 5 & 6 especially are superb. Taken with the 14mm?

Hi Fraser, Yeah they were to memory.... i'd have to have a look at the exif info but yeah I'm pretty certain they were. I love shooting with the 14mm, its just such a nice light quality lens.

Hahaha, the plug hole in the middle description you gave was spot on for the week we were there, it was the day after the leadership change. So it would have been in use quite a bit that day!! hahahaha
Thanks Tony, capturing the water on the Gold Coast was interesting, as there was a super strong current in front that kept interfering with the shot, this particular shot was taken straight after a police water craft had gone past super fast on their way to a job so it helped to smooth out that terrible current that was there.
