Clever juxtaposition. A wonderfully different view of a familiar subject.

And the almost monotonal quality of the image sets this apart as well.

From where was this made?

After this weekend's events, I'm thinking that I may need to revisit Europe next year.

Thank you for your kind comments. I took it last year from the Trocadéro Gardens. The five days we spent in Paris were all overcast.

Gary, we cannot live in fear of any terrorist group. I fell in love with Paris and its people with a handful of mispronounced French words coming from my mouth and they couldn't do enough for me.

You're 100000% correct. Give in to the evil (non)-people, and they have won. Keep traveling. Keep visiting places that you wish to visit.

And don't let these 21st century Les Miserables bother you. :)

I didn't like Paris the first time I went there; it was my second visit that did it for me, when I spent a weekend .... walking .... wandering. The charm and vibrancy of the city just overtook me.

Right now I'm thinking that I need to revisit this wonderous village.

We need to travel when we are still relatively young. The "old age truck" runs you over before you can say "amen" bringing the infirmities of old age and before you know it you are all tied up in doctors appointments. No, travel now when your health is good and enjoy your hard earned money.
