Does it matter if it's not quite sharp?

Hi Matt, welcome back, like the last one especially the space, I think you got it spot on.
I was reading a article of a American photographer Alvin Coburn who best work was before WW1 and in this period a lens that was unsharp was prized.

I like all of the above. However, I find in the last one a sense of cheekiness and I cannot make my mind if it is a self-portrait or a candid shot.

Not a self portrait...not me. I am far more handsomer than my subject.

MattK I love that second last one, the lines and the BW treatment just set it off.

Thats train between Nowra and Kiama right? I caught that just a month so back - such a great ride, I then stopped off at Helensburgh and got back on, what is really cool about alot of those south coast stops is you can just hop off and it's a short walk to some cracking seascape locations, then hop back on

Well, that's settled then. It's a candid portrait shot of Mr. Stubbsy the man.
