Out and about down south

Over the last week my family successfully attempted camping. We had never done it before, it was a learning curve and one we enjoyed. While out and about I always had my camera nearby, and I was able to take a few photos that weren't family memory focused. My amazing hubby, took the kids and kept them occupied nearby whilst I had some quiet time with my Fuji and 3 Legged thing!! Bellow are a few of my favourites, nothing spectacular, but just a few I enjoyed taking and will look good on my iPhone as a screen background. Which was my intention when photographing them.

Something really special about that lone fisherman. The sense of isolation and the vastness of the landscape just powers the image. I also like the lighthouse picture. It makes the viewer look up, as they would if they were looking at the real thing. That's kind of weird.

I agree, the big cliffs and the little fisherman work really well.

I also really like the mono version of the lighthouse..

That fisherman is actually a fisher boy! he was like 10 years old and fishing like a pro. His father was further off to the left putting some tackle on another rod. However soon after this shot the young fella actually had caught something, bummed I missed that photo as he was quite excited.

The lighthouse photograph was shot from quite low, about a foot or so off the ground, so maybe thats why the perspective is like one of being there in life. Unfortunately there was a group of travellers who decided to drive right up to the lighthouse and park right in my frame, I was unimpressed, but due to the cold breeze I moved on quickly enough to the car to warm up!
