New lens

No ducks this time. Purchased a Canon 24-70mm F4 yesterday. Briefly put it through it's paces.

Over exposed but this was the first shot.

Love the last two. The boardwalk shot just takes my eyes for a walk, and the last one messes with what's left of my mind.

The first needs a bit of fill to camera left. And softening. You'll cut your lady up with such sharp glass.

I agree with the above comments.However, I like the first photo best.

Are u liking the new lens? I flogged my mums 24-105 F4 for a few days while in NZ and while I loved the clarity and crispness with colour I actually changed back to my cheap 50mm 1.8.
Have been throwing up the idea of your lens or the 105..

I like the 2nd pic again for the clarity where i think this lens excels

I owned the 24-105 for years and wore it out. There's most probably not much difference between the two models except that the 24-70 seems much lighter, and has a macro function, which I haven't used yet.

I picked mine up for $899 brand new from Camerapro in Brisbane, complete with Canon Aust warranty etc.
