Caught my daughter out when she thought she'd get away with sneaking a yoghurt out into the garden for a crafty snack before tea!
I like the complete look of suprise as she's caught 'mid gob full'
Taken with my new (second hand ebay special) 50mm f1.8,

Love the lens, realy sharp, couldn't stop taking pictures of complete crap just to play with the DOF - got some nice pictures of coffee mugs etc!

I'm afraid I did, thanks very much for your advice, and if the alternatives had been a little nearer my budget I would have gone for them (Sigma f2.8, Nikkon etc).
I'll post a picture I took with it yesterday in another thread.
Its in real good condition, and for the price I paid I'd never get anything as exotic as a 14mm ultra wide anywhere else.
The Studio Photographer at work has the f2.8 version and seems to think there isn't much difference between the two, apart from one stop - oh, and he paid £600 for his! thats me £480 better off, I'll see if the my wife will let me spend that on another lens - although she may not quite see it that way!
BD, if I made my mind up on another lens (24-120 VR is quite apealing, although not for a while) can you supply to the UK? If I could buy from you the company I work for have offices in Sydney, would it be less likley to attract Tax if you supplied the lens to them and they send the lens over here in the normal intercompany mail?

No point in talking $$ yet, need to secure the funds from the family treasurer first - birthday in July so I'll work on her for then.
Silly question realy (I can gues the answer
) but do you have the 24-120 VR in your arsenal? What are your thoughts on it?

Oops! sorry went a little O/T there, BD we'll have this conversation another time when I have the lolly from she who holds the purse strings!
Thanks Leek, I was expecting it to be a little wooly at f1.8 but it starts of sharp and just gets better f6.3>. best £50 I've spent in a long time.
How cool is DOF, never been able to do much with it on my other cameras (POS).

Charlie - a well caught pic of your daughter doing what daughters and sons do sometimes
My only suggestion would be a crop - not too tight and keep you daughter to the side as is.
