NZ. Not quite sure what this is.This is on the pier in Napier yesterday. It's some sort of pergola or something else designed by a clever artist. Whatever it is, it certainly captures the light in a fantastic fashion.

It's a giant softbox diffuser - like a beauty dish. Specially placed there for photographers to use for shooting portraits underneath its beautifully filtered light. g.
