Hi Gerry.

Now you're messing with us.

Well, me, at any rate. What's going on here? An accomplice?

:)

The blue misty stuff is just EL wire which is waved around during the long exposure, the tricky bit is just to do it in a coherent manner to create a nice effect rather than just a mess of colour :)

The figures are generated using a Pixel stick, I won one of these last year, it's a pretty cool device. Basically you can program your own pictures onto and then by moving the stick in a horizontal fashion, like wiping your windscreen on your car with one of those carwash thingys...it creates the image in light and whilst the camera is in long exposure it captures the resultant image. The pixel stick is also handy as a light source, it can create rainbows etc :)

Thanks, Gerry.

Just what I needed to know. Very cool device, and a very creative use of it. Well done. I'm in awe.
