Hi Zaff....it's a lovely bird shot with great composition....but let down by very harsh bokeh. That background is just hard and overpowering. I don't know what lens you were using, or what f/stop but it hasn't done the image any favours. Perhaps some judicious post processing to soften the bokeh might work?

We have about 25 million of these noisy critters here in Coffs. Lori and Keet try their best to wake me up each morning. They are spectacular birds. I call them the juvenile delinquents of the bird family.
Nice shot too with vibrant colours and a good pose.

Thank you for the kind comments. I took this photo with a Canon sx30 is. I think I was using a portrait setting as it is not an SLR and manual settings are not as easy. I'll work on it. Thanks.
