It's marked, "D70 Forum users only", and is in Hyde Park. The light is always nice from this particular bench and I will be going back often.

I like the hairy legs pic. That umbrella clashes with his pants and his legs and makes me wonder about what kind of person it is. What lens are you using here?

Matt - you are making your camera express humanity in the most interesting way by looking at it from behind. There is no way that your pics can be critiqued because technicalities no longer matter in these pics

I think they're great shots. I especially like the one of the old couple... even if it does look like the ladies shirt is on backwards and the mans shirt looks like it's brand new out of the packet, creases and all!

Did you feel like a peeping tom sitting on the park bench with 200mm lens in hand? I bet you were wearing sunglasses, duffle coat and a fedora hat too!

These shots are interesting for me because they tell a story. Shirt on backwards, sock covers, etc. I think you're onto a really interesting concept. Generally we let images like these rush past without too much attention. By freezing them in time we can examine the details of the ordinary around us - something well worth doing.

I look forward to more from this bench (perhaps one of a policeman telling you to move on you filthy disgusting pervert )

This is a great idea - you would see the differing moods of the city:
- Early morning, nice and quiet - perhaps a few joggers
- Morning rush, no-one has time for anything
- Sightsee-ers
- Lunchtime
- Afternoon rush
- Theatre goers, etc

Would be a really interesting series Matt - your own bum might be sore after a full day of it though!

You've obviously led a sheltered life Stubbsy ... They are called gaiters and are often worn by gardeners / bushwalkers to stop stuff going into their shoes / boots...
Why this guy is wearing them over his trainers and carrying an umbrella I can't answer... Maybe he's trying to start a new fashion trend?

A very nice, interesting study that you're assembling with these, Matt. I'm really enjoying seeing them. We should all probably pick a topic or subject and do a similar type of photo study.
