One tiny piece of the Desert Garden area at the 160 acre Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino (near Pasadena) Calif. Just me, my D70, tripod and lenses. One of the most fun days I've had in a long, long time. :D

The little white gray shapes in the foreground are all cacti too.

Lovely :)

What lens / EXIF data? ta

I wonder if you could have used a little fill flash to fill in the shadows at the front? Other than that - I love this style of pic - thanks for sharing :)

Kit lens for this, my only WA, in order to get everything in from the little walking path. Set at 22mm f/8 1/400 ISO 200.

I also had the White Balance set to Incandescent.
Thank goodness I was shooting in raw! That made for an easy and quick fix.

I really like this photo. It's great that you were able to fit in 6 different types of cacti in the one shot. :)

Well done!!

Thanks, Killa. The cacti pictures that you posted this morning were stunning! Just beautiful.

It's getting pretty late here, but I plan to put up some more cacti tomorrow including their names where I possible. The Desert Garden alone at this place is at least 20-40 acres or more.

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.
