I took this photo last time I was in Spain in 2019 in a small village called Buitrago del Lozoya. Pablo Picasso met a republican barber in Paris called Eugenio Arias Herranz and never allowed anyone else to cut or arrange his hair. The friendship lasted many years and Picasso paid Arias with some of his works. In his old age and once democracy was restored in Spain, Arias decided to return to his birthplace and in his will left his Picasso collection to his community.

Muchas gracias.
I have already booked flights for a return trip to Spain for October/November this year. Hoping to spend two months in the old country and in Espania, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. (Yes I know, Robyn deserves a medal). That being said, Europe could be a smouldering heap of ruins by then so the trip may not eventuate but hey, we can only plan and dream....

Thank you guys.
Ozi, make sure you are 4 times vaccinated, if you can.
I am thinking of returning to Spain to see my family, but the insurance is becoming very expensive once you go over a certain age.

I thinking of going to Iceland in September and I have not found the insurance overly expense as compared to my Middle East trips.

My Qantas/NAB credit card gives me comprehensive travel insurance. Had it for many years. Around $250 PA fee which is worth it IMHO.
