Lupin

Lupinus, commonly known as lupin, lupine or regionally bluebonnet, is a plant in the legume family Fabaceae. The family includes over 199 species. They are widely cultivated, both as a food source and as ornamental plants, but are invasive to some areas. I found the flower in the picture in Akureyri’s garden in Iceland.

Great pic but strike me pink mate, you get around! Iceland! As is often said, one of the world's great conundrums is that Iceland is green but Greenland is ice?!?!
