The Empire State Building was the world's tallest building until the first tower of the World Trade Center was topped out in 1970. The building is now the seventh-tallest building in New York City, the ninth-tallest completed skyscraper in the United States, and the 54th-tallest in the world. I took the picture from the rooftop of the Rockefeller Centre.

It's a very iconic structure, but surprisingly small at the top on the viewing platform.

In deed. It is a memory to relish, but unfortunately we did not have the time to see and enjoy more of the city and culture.
