Up close. Next time I will use a reflector to get some "catchlight" in his eyes.
D70 + AFS 300F4.

hey Arthur, i guess your another bird lover.
have you use your flash/magifing glass thing with your sb800 to get some catchlights?

Hi Redline,
Not yet. The Flash extender is designed for birds that are under the shades and are far away. I can use SB 800 by itself to get the catchlight but that may stress the birds at close distance.

Hi
background colour was not altered. I applied very light sharpening to minimize the noise. picture was slightly cropped and downsized to allowing viewing on screen. I could not downsize more as the details of the feathers would be lost.
