Arthur, great capture, particularly like the way the eye is in focus and the wing tips out because of movement.
ps How do you find the AFS speed on the 300 f4?

Arthur,
I take it that you have a new toy, AF-S 300mm f/4
Nice shot. IMO I would just prefer a tad more cropping on the LHS to take the other part seagull out of the picture, but truly superb.

Great shot Arthur - can't wait for one of our members JordanP to see this - he's nuts about seagulls and won one of our competitions here with a photo of some gulls...well done matey!

Dear all,
Thanks. I am glad that this shot works. Your encouragement certainly help affirms the motivation to go out there and do better.
Time to clean the sensor. The AFS of the lens is not as fast as kit lens - because its F4 and heavier lens elements to move. However, it is lots faster than 80 - 200 AFD and 80 - 400 AFD.
D70 occassionally freezes up when i use 1.4X Kenko Pro with the 300 F4. The problem seems to go away when I fit the Kenko the lens first and then the combo to the D70.
cheers,
Arthur
