On Monday evening there was a nice display of lenticular clouds in the west, I was up the top of my hill doing some testing on the microwave link I am installing for broadband (yay!) and of course had the D70 with me.
All 3 were @ ISO200, had a slight increase in saturation, and weak USM, #2 was slightly cropped, and all resized to 1000pixels across.

This one turned out a little grainy, I should have set up the tripod, but the clouds were changing too quickly so I underexposed a little and hoped I could hold it steady enough.

Good job Gordon.
#1 and #2 work for me, an interesting phenomenom we don't see up here very often. Whilst the colour in #3 is awesome, for me the two distinct layers (gold vs blue) tend to distract. I'd probably have preferred a cropped version of just the golden hues but that's just me. :)

Hmm, love the third one, the colours are wonderful.

I would though, just crop a smidgen of the black off the bottom of the image. I don't think it adds anything to the overall effect, so just a bit below the tree I think would be enough.

Cheers

Cool photos, Gordon. #2 is especially nice. #3 seems like it could use a +1 gamma adjustment to brighten everything up. :)
