Number 2 looks very yummy. So do the poffertjes. Looks a bit underexposed though?

Love the flowers in 4, what are they called, Birds of Paradise or something? Nice looking, but I spent the best part of my youth retrieving cricket balls from the ones in our backyard, prickly little buggers!

John - a nice set of pics especially the first one. My only query is that the only pic that looks to be correctly exposed are the flowers.

Yep... you're quite right of course... The flowers were in the direct sunlight, so there wasn't too much of a problem there... The other shots were taken under a sort of marquee that was open at the sides... If you look in each of the 4 photos that were underexposed (uncropped versions), the exposure was influenced by the really bright sunlight that was coming from outside...

I should probably have used spot metering rather than matrix???

Anway, I've had a play with the RAW files and these versions should be better???
Also - what do you think of the uncropped version of the Turkish lady??? I prefer the crop, but the quizzical expression of the woman behind is interesting in the full version...

The cropped version is much better IMO
