Chair as subject

I went up to Blackcomb today again of course and thought that you people could use another dose of the snowy white stuff that I got today. Another terrific day on the hills. This one works for me because I was actually trying to get a different shot but the damn chair kept getting in the way. I finally realized that I could make it the subject. Comments and critique of course are welcome.

I am in love with BW for my ski shots for some reason, and this is now the second that I've added a touch of sepia to which creates a nice timeless effect. I'd love to know your thoughts.

Edited for tilted. Thanks Big pix

Very good pix and it looks good in sepia, for me I would have liked it just a bit brighter to give the shot some lift but not to blow out the highlights

Cheers

Big Pix

ps Look out for the straight police........your shot looks like it is leaning to the left, or is it the hill

Oh yeah, me thinks you're right. I knew I was forgetting about something...Thanks Big Pix.

I struggle with brightnesses because I have two monitors that show it vastly different and can never really decide.

Great pic Dave - the effect of the chair lift disappearing into the mist is fantastic.

Dooda, your shots of Blackcomb are killing me! When I was there I was free as a bird, now I have a wife, 2 kids, & the mortgage from hell!

At least I get to show them what I've been babbling about for the past 15 years!

Keep it up!

Magic stuff, dooda. Just awesome! It really looks fantastic in B&W (with the slight touch of sepia). It makes me feel cold though! A fabulous image, keep them up!

Cool shot, Dave. The lift certainly works the way you've framed it. :D

Thankyou for the comments all.
I didn't think about cloning out the tree, but it would definitely make the picture better I think if I can do it properly. I'll give it a try.
Dee, no prob, I'll email you the process, though I'm still sort of figuring it out.
Marcus, I'm glad my pics are being viewed by your family. You must recognize this as the Jersey Cream Bowl area.
