This butterfuly species are very active. They hardly keep still. This one is unusual. It is one of the pair that like to perch on that plant. Probably mating season I guess.

D70 + AFS 300 F4 + TC1.4X + SB 800. 1/500 f16. Handheld. Very strong afternoon sun - backlight. Had to use flash to fill light and 1/500 to allow handholding.

That's a pretty good shot, Arthur. Fill flash worked well, it seems. You might consider cropping some on the right.

That's a very sweet shot, Arthur. Finely detailed and softly textured. There may be just a little too much of the relatively blank area on the right side and this might work better as a more square image IMO.
