Here are two more pics from the Melb meet that I quite like. Some might think them too picture postcardish (sic.) The first is of one of the shelter sheds in the Botanic Gardens taken from across the lake, and the second is one of the pavillions (I forget which one) taken in the Queen Victoria gardens.
Your opinions appreciated.

Number 2 great leave as is ........ 1 if you have more water in the shot would be good and more trees on the right, some cropping on the left of the building and put your building on the left third of shot ........bit more of an impact and location

I don't understand what peoples problem is with images looking too "postcardish"...
Great shots Meicw, have you considered saturating the first image to emphasis the greens or reds?

Nothing wrong with picture postcards If nobody took them, we wouldn't have postcards....

I like photo 2 but might have been better as a pano showing more of the path on the right to lead the eyes to the shelter.

Both these photos would look great though with a bit more saturation to give it an oomph

I would have loved to be there on Sunday with all the Melbournites, draped in their Nikon splendour but prior arrangements kept me away.
However, I was in that part of the world on Saturday and managed to get a few snaps around the Shrine.



Hopefully next meet, I will be able to join you all in the fun.....
