We serious users of the D70 find the term "arty farty" offensive. There is nothing farty about genuine art and there is nothing arty about an earthy and unselfconscious fart. Please refrain from trivialising the genuine artistic pursuits of the majority of the D70 forum members. Perhaps you would be better served by the forum, "Pleasure and bodily functions.com", the only forum I know where the majority of members become sexually aroused by the sight of an amputee.

Hrrrmmmph!!! Yes, well, after that thoughtful interlude we now return to the normal programming...

Nice flower, nice photo b 'n' s... Maybe the crop was a little too tight, but IMHO the top of the flower would have been a welcome addition
Perhaps you might also want to tone down that light patch in the top left corner... Otherwise a good capture...

Seriously, I'm about to graduate with a Bachelor of Arty Farty Arts.

And you need more space around the subject matter of the flower to make it arty farty.

Oh - forgot to say I like the pic - I agree about the light patch at the top left but I would have cropped it even thinner

Great pic. THe light on the top left is the only prob. Love the colors and the dark background.

I myself am offended that anyone would but their mysoginistic presumptions on something as world wide as arty fartation. I've known many a woman to have major gaseous movements while producing art.

The highest form of Arty Fartosity is art that deals explicitly with the particular said body movement.

What about the Piss Christ?

I'll track down the name of an artist tomorrow whom someone at my workplace is friends with who took pictures of people's arseholes.

That was the art.

Would that be good enough for you, dooda? ;)

As long as there is people in the background of the photo with putrid looks on their faces plugging their noses. That would be ideal, we'll see otherwise.

Well, back to what blacknstormy really came here for.........
I think it's a great image. Lively colour and judicious cropping.
Yes, there is a hot-spot at top left, but so what?
Well done. :D

I like the contrast between the hot pink and black background, and I like the viewpoint - it looks like lots of spider legs to me. Although not usually a fan of 'arty farty' borders I do like what you have done with the 3D effect - making the border and picture 'float' above the white background.
