Texture

This is the carving on the side of a camphor wood chest, sidelit to enhance texture, then converted to B&W. Nikon 12-24 DX at 12mm; SB800:

Because the wood has lost all of its colour, it looks more like a zinc etching for printmaking... I like it! :)

Nice job. Could do with a little darkening on the left hand side....PS is the tool for that. The detail and relief are a good example of the importance of lighting.
