My first paid shoot (sort of)

My boss's wife got wind of the fact that I was sporting a fancy new whiz-bang packed camera. She asked if I could get some photographs of her dogs to place around the house (her dogs are her children).

I didn't really get paid for the shoot, but I did all of the shooting and PP work on company time instead of my regular duties, so I count that as getting paid :)

The shots are nothing spectacular. I quickly discovered it is REALLY hard to get 2 dogs to look cute or even behave simultaneously. It got to the point where if they were both looking at the lens I had to just be satisfied :P

Above all else the speed of the D70 really shined. I shot in continuous mode, and probably took a burst of 10-15 pics everytime the shot looked like it might work.

Good shots Magi!
I like how you think, doing your play during paid work times! haha

I think your biggest problem would have been getting the dogs to sit and stay! How long did it take you? Shooting continous would have helped!

The indoor shots turned out very nicely, Rich. The outdoor shots have blown whites. IME, a low contrast setting in camera plus a -.3 to -.7EV setting on the camera will often do well on brightly lighted, white subjects.

NetMagi - Shot #4 is a classic, they almost look as if a taxidermist had a hand in the posing.

Those are good shots, and I think you're right. It's like trying to get two kids to behave while sitting on Santa's knee, they don't really like to.
