Final one for tonight - we've been camping this weekend :)

Played a bit with the settings on the SB800 flash, and am becoming more and more happy with the results:

That's a great shot Sheepie - you've really nailed that SB800. The balance between the flash and light thrown by the sparkler is fantastic.

As a relatively new owner of said beastie, could you enlighten me ('scuse the pun) as to the settings you used?

Great light balance. What were the settings on the flash?

OK - this is a bit from memory and a bit from the EXIF (although the EXIF reckons it was with the built-in flash, but I'm sure it was the SB800!)...

Shutter Priority, 1/2 sec
Handheld, 50mm 1.8 D @ F/2.8
ISO 200
Rear Curtain Flash Sync Mode
Flash Comp -0.3EV

Pretty sure the flash was set to iTTL, but the EXIF has me confused.

This is a crop of the original - the full frame has more of the background in it (which I tend to do on purpose - you can always crop, you can't replace something that isn't there!).

Thanks for that Sheepie. It will be added to my rapidly expanding SB800 knowledge base.
