The Power of Fungus

This photo was taken in Oct 1979 using a Nikon F and Kodachrome slide film.

Unfortunately I did not store the slides in a safe environment and all of the slides were covered in fungus.

The pic was taken in the Gibson’s Desert of an eagles nest in a tree. Although the slide was wrecked I quite like the effect that has happened - converted to B&W as the colour was abysmal.

Chris,

I like it a lot. Reminds me of Russian winters.

Cheers
Alex

Chris

I love it! It almost looks like a charcoal drawing. Very frammable, I think!

I had one slide of 2 ladies and after I scanned it there was like a spiders web of fungus over the face of one lady. It made the hairs on my arms stand on end - I threw that one away 8)

I keep coming back to look at this shot. While not grabbed by the subject matter, I think the patterns and textures are interesting.
Maybe you should send the slide to CSIRO - it may be a miracle cure for some exotic disease (like Sigma lens lust!)
