mmm yeah, great idea, but i dont find much interesting ... except the headlights. Not sure how you could better do it though, except maybe at sunset or sunrise when there is a bit of subtle light to play with.

Personally, I would've cloned out what looks like the wing tip on the right and play around with the position of the plane during PP.

Kipper like Pirostitch - I like this shot because it is not the normal run-of-the-mill plane shots and I would clone out the wing tip on the right

I like it. BTW it is either a 737-800 or an A320. (Note the winglets.) From the angle it hard to judge, but looking at the size of them I would go for the 737.

Darb, yeah it's not the best. However I was at Melbourne Airport from 4.30pm when there was lots of light till about 7pm. I was hoping to catch a 747 with a bit at sunset. I waited at the end that they usually come in but nothing for 2hours. In the end I gave up and moved down to where the domestics came in but at that stage all light had gone. I think this was the first of the domestics that I caught coming in.

It makes me think of flying into a strange airport so far from home....

Full marks for technique and creativity. The image works for me and demands a good look.

I like this photo too, but I disagree with the cropping of the light on the wing tip, if anything I would like to make it more prominent. I tried covering it with my thumb and what you are left with is a lot of empty black space. I think that light gives it a better sense of proportion to the plane.
Just my opinion.

I like the shot, Darryl. I think the bit of wing lights on the right add to the mystery.

 AFAIK Qantas only uses Boeings for domestic, so it's either 737 or 767...I'm to going to with the latter if my crappy memory serves me right.

Great shot, the wing tip just adds to the mystery....... but I would not have the image in the centre of the frame as it is not going anywhere, have the image a bit to the top right, so it is flying in or bottom left so it is flying out, I think the latter would be best

I think the plane is travelling Left --> Right, but I know what you mean...

Great shot BTW... It got me thinking... BTW it could even be an Airbus - such is the untargetted asset strategy of Qantas...
I'm Pretty sure that it's a 767 with those upturned wing-tips though...

The main focus point of the shot is almost in the centre, it should be moved a bit lower and to the left more and maybe a bit of a twist to the left also, just to make it a bit more interesting

Redline, Saturday 23rd April 6.30-6.45pm. Was on the Tullamarine / Sunbury Rd. Up near the gate that they're letting all the workmen in. There is a section where everyone drives off the road and parks near where the planes fly over Sunbury Rd.

It is a Boeing 737-838.
