ErskinvilleI was invited to a friends house warming BBQ at inner city Erskinville. Took along the trusty D70, went for a walk up the street and back. Here's the results (a few of my favourites of them anyway):

Marcus - I used to own a house in Union Street in Erskinville and the shots you have posted are so indicative of that area - very nice pictorial

To infinity & beyond! Indeed. Good strong images, all. Whew!
And the second and third are just tremendous. Moving! The third reminds me of something I could very well see in Hispanic East Los Angeles. I love how you've used perspective in your shots and added to the perspective of the mural in the third shot Very nice indeed. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.
Great pics. Really well done. Erskinville looks a bit run-down and you have captured it's dieing soul
Steve.

I'm a real fan of urban streetscapes, and these are excellent, marcus.
You are certainly showing a photgrapher's eye. TFF (Trevor)

If no-one has responded - you can delete your post by opening it up and then clicking on the little x in the top right corner. No need to delete though... you can always edit your original post and change the img links to point to smaller versions of the photos... Nice shots BTW... Cheers, John

Thanks Chris, Steve (SoCal), Steve (Killa), Trev, Leek & Mic for the comments. These were all taken whilst walking up the road and back for a packet of chips. A 500m journey. Your encouringing comments were well recieved as I was quite happy myself, but was not sure what others would think.

Love the photos, but the last one looks a bit too blue for me. Heheh I like the No left turn and graffiti photo. Still trying to find the abstract meaning to it but all I coudl come up with was, if you turn left, your tv will shoot you.....I think I need those pills Mic is on before I attempt this again.
Brings back memories for me too, as it happens my first place of residence when I came to Australia was in Union St., No.16 I think. __________

"no left turn would" make a fabulous music CD cover. Contact some groups via the net and offer if for sale. $1400 would be a fair deal and save them a fortune if using an ad company. Regards

Wouldn't that introduce copyright issues Matt?? The original artist of the mural would expect something as well wouldn't they? Not sure... Cheers, John

Matt & Leek,
This is an interesting issue. I would love the $1400 and surely the image is mine but yes, what about the artist? Hmmm, can of worms material. Can anyone bring some light to this subject? Perhaps a new post about this kind of issue! I know nutzinc
