Well done Mikhail - nice job with the fill flash.
A tighter crop may have lessened effect of the cars and sign in the background, which I find slightly distracting.
But a lovely image of a beautiful smile. :)

I really like the subject, quite fine in fact.
The lighting on her skin doesn't seem to match in intensity the light in the background. It may be that the flash didn't put out quite enough light, as eventhough she is well lit, she still looks like she's sitting in the shade with a brightly lit background which distracts some.

Was this pic taken off Ormond Street in Turner (ACT) by any chance? Looks really familiar!
Cool pic by the way... I love the autumn leaves 8)

agriffiths,

It's Haig Park, Masson st. Seems to be Turner or nearby

dooda,
Actually, I did this shot in P&S style (just set aperture priority mode and opened built-in flash) - it wasn't careful arranged and flash didn't give enough light

Thanks for comments everyone!

image looks great but i agree about cropping out the road and the bottom half of the pole.
i think the flash light needs to be a little more "warmer" to be balanced with the surrounding light(gels), but using the flash under shade was a was a good idea. however you could have shot this in direct sun with fill flash and have small eyes?

so many options so many trade offs.
