Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Yea, not much wrong you can find here, maybe a touch more contrast, (of course coming from me there's always more contrast to be added.
Edit: Sorry just looked again and there's no more contrast needed here. It's quite gritty. Last edited by dooda on Wed Apr 27, 2005 5:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Dee,
Great subject and composition, but I think you may have overdone the sharpening a little. g.

First all those highly saturated shots and now you're latest ones are monochromatic. Did you use up your quota of colour pixels I think this is yet another great shot from you, albeit with a little halation due to being a touch oversharpened - but that's being EXTRA picky because you've set such a high benchmark with your other work Peter

Composition great - subject matter great - grain great - don’t like this shot - I love it

I reckon perhaps a little less open space on the left, but apart from that.. great shot.. I love seeing photo's of kids that age.. they look so innocent and natural.

Careful, Geoff. Statements like that might get you into trouble ... g.

I mean it in a totally unsexual way by the way.. I'm sure you realised that . Seriously though.. I reckon kids are great subjects. I just wish there wasn't so much paranoia and stigma attached to photographing kids. Geoff http://www.gleff.com

I think Geoff means kids are not pretentious.
Great picture. There is so much more to tell, so many questions to ask. The picture tells a story but begs more questions than answers. Brilliant. Steve.
