Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Great pics, but you may want to reduce the file sizes a little, so that those on dial up can see them as well :)

Gidday James
Welcome to the forum! :D You will enjoy it very much.
I like the flower and Eastern water dragon very much. Especially the water dragon. The eye seems to be perfectly focussed.
Normally, water dragons are quite shy. How did you manage to sneak up on it?
The off angle photo of the stove and leaf, is interesting but the angle makes it really hard for my eyes and brain to interpret.
I like your work and look forward to seeing more of it
Thanks for sharing James
Cheers

thanks Graham,

The water dragons in the RBG don't seem to be put of by people getting up close and it easy to fill the frame with a 50mm lens.

maybe I should have mentioned at the end of the post I also like shooting at extreme angles along with shallow DoF :)

Oh thats right, now I remember what film grain looks like :P
Seriously though, the pics are great!! I personally really like the DOF effect around the leaf in #4.

Great shots. I like the dragon, and love the one of the single leaf. Very creative and I think that the angle really makes this pic special.
