Not sure why I like this photo, to me it has an oil painting feel to it. It was one of many portrait orientated shots I took. Was going to turn it into a pano but haven't done so as yet as I was drawn to this shot.

Lens: 18-70MM (Kit Lens)
Focal Length: 18MM
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/30
Aperture: F/14
Mode: Manual
Metering: Matrix

It's beautiful! Landscapes are not easy subjects.

I also really like this - it makes you feel like you're about to step into the picture and follow the path to .... somewhere? but where? ... which hints at an untold story to me and that's why I like it, I guess.

Nice Kipper, I am not up to pace with the landscape scene but it looks pretty good to me with the mountains in the background.

Good shot......but it looks a bit over saturated {too yellow} and a bit over sharpened

cheers

Yes it's over saturated to try and obtain an oil painting look about it. Might of gone a bit over the top though. As for over sharpening, where?

I didn't even apply a USM to it.

Just the way it looks on my 20in moniter, must be the over saturation, have you tried the brushes in PSCS in filters to give it a painting look

cheers

Most of the brushes suck :)
