There are two or three regulars that walk around St James's Park feeding the squirrels, this was one of them:
Same bloke, same squirrel, new girl:

Nice shots ....... but both could do with some cropping to create more interesting shots........
I like the b&w but it could also be a bit lighter, with that add a bit of contrast........
Cheers

Soulboy - I like the second shot but, as BP has mentioned, a tighter crop would enhance the photo. The man, in this case, seems superfluous to the shot as the main attention is the squirrel and the big smile on the girls face.
St James Park - ah memories of my childhood living in Shaftesbury Ave

And here's the girl:
Chris, when I was a civil servant, I worked in the Treasury Building adjacent to St James's Park - spent many a lunchtime watching the world (and the woman) walk by. It's always been my favourite London park and now I've got the opportunity to photograph it, I'll make the most of it.

Dee,
For your benefit:
bloke = man
sheila = girl or young woman

Soulboy - I think you did a nice job with what was obviously an extremely wide dynamic contrast range. Once in a while you've just got to let something go lighter or darker than you would prefer.
This park looks like a marvelous place that I'm sure will continue to yield all kinds of animal, landscape and people pictures for you as time goes by. I for one look forward to seeing them. Please keep sharing often.

These photos bring back wonderful memories for me, walking around the beautiful London Parks feeding the squirrels. They are the most adorable creatures, and I had them eating out of my hands (and those bloody pidgeons!)
The crop of the B&W is fabulous! I'd love to see more of this magnificent part of the world!

Your in luck then, I took about 60 pictures in St James's Park alone.
This one's from the north end of the park so Buckingham Palace would be behind me, in the distance you can see the very top of the Foreign Office building, the green roof is the top of Downing Street.
BTW: I promise I won't post all of them.

Great photos
Prefer the cropped versions compared to the white angle. Looks like the squirrel is hunting for something more

Hum i think the squirrel can read her cap...
I prefer the croped pic as well by the way as only 2 or 3 main things in the pic.. took a while to see the squirrel actually

I'm amazed as to just how much difference the cropping made to the first pic, seems to really have much more impact by having just the bloke and his friend chewing on the nut...
