Not bad, Dee. Looks a bit blown on my screen though.

Cheers

Dee

I get the concept, but the shot doesn't grab me, sorry. Too much white.

maybe it is blown. . . but it really grabs me anyway I'm not sure the shot would really benefit from anything more being visible in the upper portion.

The depth is exceptional. . . . does it for me.

Sorry Dee - this is one of a very few from the Flipfrog Portfolio that I'm not keen on. I can accept the sky being blown out but on my screen the whole top edge of the aircraft is gone. Teneriffe all over again....

Please explain?

I agree that the upper two-thirds of this image appear over-exposed. I don't know that I really get this pic. Sorry.

Refers to the world's worst air disaster in Teneriffe (not your suburb!) in the mid-80s. I think something like 590 people killed when a KLM 747 took off without clearance up the runway that was also being used as a taxiway. A Pan Am jet taxiing into position barely managed to turn slightly to avoid collision as the KLM plane rotated. Without enough clearance, the KLM took the roof off the Pan Am, opening it up like a tin of spaghetti. Everyone on the KLM was killed, almost everyone on the Pan Am.

Thanx, Simon. Yes, the mention of Teneriffe had me perplexed momentarily. But I do remember that disaster now. BTW, in 1986 I was leaving Greece to fly to London ( I was on holidays). The Qantas jumbo I was on had to taxi past a BA jumbo that had been involved in a terrorist attack at Athens airport.
The BA jet had half its fuselage blown out - you could have heard a pin drop on my flight as all the passengers on board had a sobering reminder of the risks of air travel.

I actually prefer this shot over the seahorse by a long way. A seen hundreds of sunsets, but as yet this is the first plane i've seen without a roof
