Very cool shot, Mic. The B&W works well to tell this story. :)

Thanks Kerry,

Looks like you are the only one that appreciates the B&W, I think I'll go back to shooting Birds, Flowers, Inverting & Worm Holes

To arouse peoples comments.

Mic.

I don't know about anybody else, but I just didn't see this one, Mic.

Subjectwise... a very cute picture.
Subjectively... a little low key tonally for my taste.

Hey mic

I know what it's like. You post your work of art and wait... and wait... and wait...

generally I check all the non image posts first, then go back and check the image posts so sometimes takes me a day to get to one. Like this one.

I really, really like this. I like the B & W and I like how the background and the sand are really black. Did you do anything special with this since it seems much more contrasty than your normal B & W.

I do like artsy fartsy stuff, like B&W, toned, high-hey, IR and other similar works, as a general rule.

If you're really wanting to arouse people and get comments, you could take a shot of your inverted worm....

Thanks Steve, Yes I know, hard to keep track of all the shots sometimes.

Thanks flyfisher, Welcome aboard the D70 Aus Express :)

Thanks Chris, Seriously :)

Thanks Stubbsy, It's a bit like that sometimes :( I have found with my new B&W's I use Channel Mixer, but change to green or blue channel then Monochrome. Then adjust some levels or a curve to suit.
Gives my B&W's more punch I feel.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Kerry, My Invereted Worm, Hmmmmm ( We might need an Adults only section in this Forum

Kerry, post some IR Images sometime. I love that sort of stuff.

Cheers,

Mic.

Some images work better in B&W than others and I think this is one of them... The really stark background is intriguing, really catches the eye...
