My Dog

I was playing with a small tripod to see what it couldn't do. It wasn't very steady until I spread all the legs out flat.

Anyway, I decided to take a quick shot of my Kelpie who was very content resting midway up the flight of stairs.

It's nothing fantastic and the purple tinge along the LHS where the coat is hanging over the banister is annoying me a lot.

I shot it on aperture priority at F4.5. It resulted in a 6 sec exposure. The only lighting was from the stairwell light above. Nothing except cropping and reducing for the web and a border added.

Hit me with the comments. :)

I very nice, informal pet portrait, especially considering a 6 sec. exposure!! Well done.

As my grandfather would have said, "Give yourself a pat on the back, but be careful not to break your arm doing it."

You've got one very patient Kelpie to sit perfectly still for a 6 second exposure. Any of the animals i try to photograph usually get curious as to what the big thing is pointing at them and come up to sniff it.

I just worked out that the purple tinge is from the TV. I had just finished watching a dvd and had a blue screen on the tv. Damn I wish I'd turned it off now.

I have also just worked out how to get the exif data back on the image after PSCS took it out.

A kelpie that lays that still for 6 seconds  Then again I remember my old dog who'd be laying in his favorite spot when I left for work and wake up in the same spot when I got home...
