The Australian sun is a killer for many a shot - you will find that a nice overcast day is by far the best for pics such as these - OR spot meter on the animal and blow the surrounds.
The monkey shot (#1) is cute and perhaps could do with a little bit of contrast. It is a shame about the Tiger(!) as this would have made a great pussy cat shot of the larger kind.
Keep em coming

G'day CB,
Looks like the sun was pretty harsh so it would have been difficult to get the entire picture well balanced for exposure...
#1, not sure but is the focus actually a little in front of the animal? Check out the front paw and the corn cob...
#2, great pose, just the trees buggered you up, dunno if you could have got another view, not familiar with Sydney Zoo.
#3, crop into a portrait and you could do more in PP
#4, another great pose, shows the day must have been warm and strong sun. Couple of blown parts, just drop the exposure a little in PP and maybe try some curve adjustment in PP?
#5, great moment with the lions...
Cheers mate, these are good! I enjoyed 'em...

I think the issue with #1 and the corn mudder is that the corn is about to go into a blown state. Hence why it looks out of focus.

I agree with what's been said so far, very difficult shooting conditions.
I may be completely off the mark here, but what do you think of this crop for No.4?

thanks for the advice all .
and i do like the crop on pic no 4 phillip - i try not to do much in the way of pp as my dad has done some shockers and put me off - i am starting to see the advantage in cropping to get more affect with the pics .
