What a coincidence - I was just listening to the Beatles. But I'm drawing a blank of which photo would fit which song.

Me too, I've gone right through the photos and I can't see any yellow submarine anywhere.

Perhaps Chris is making a reference to the Japanese Mini Subs that infiltrated Sydney Harbour in WWII, only this time they are using land based operatives (Meet the local).

I think that Chris was trying to say that he liked i.e. picture number nine...

It was a reference to the track Revolution Number 9 from The White Album...

I like it too BTW, but it could possibly benefit from a crop...

Hehe I've been listening to a lot of the best of Beatles at work lately...it's a nice mix when thrown in with Dave Matthews Band, Linkin Park, a bit of a trance and house....do I sound mixed up yet

To answer your DOF question first - definitely the first one. The whole flower appears in focus (even though on close inspection it isn't) which makes the whole image seem much sharper.

Of the pics I particularly like your angle for numbers 8 and 9 which really use DOF to great effect. So far as number 12 - WTF an asian cowboy

#13, while it captures the event, is way too busy for my tastes and lacks a central focus to draw me into the image.

#16 is superb. Only thing I'd do is clone out the OOF pine tree top in the background bottom middle.

Choosing a best Beatles album is difficult in the extreme Chris. I love the White Album too, although it is probably the least coherent album they made. In the original vinyl, the choice of four sides was an embarrassment of riches. So many fantastic individual efforts. One of my favourite "under noticed" tracks is Cry Baby Cry.

But I digress, very nice shots pippin, I like #7 & #10 in particular.
