At the risk of being considered hyper critical...

I find the people in the background really detract from what would otherwise have been an excellent shot. My eye keeps getting dragged away from the seagull. I understand that you had no choice about the ppl which sucks. Maybe try cloning them out.

Actually I had every choice with the people (I have numerous shots... I will post some more later)

I included the people as I thought it streangthed the composition, mind you I am not one for simple compositions...

geat shot. . . the warmth is incredible. I think if I left it on my monitor it would heat the room :)

I personally like the people in the shot.

I think this shows how different we all are. That's why there's no such thing as the perfect photo. There's always a critic somewhere

Yes, photographic appreciation is extremely subjective.

Interestingly, my first thought was that the OOF people in the BG really made the shot! Go figure!

Great shot Scott, very well done.

Having already stated that I think it's a great shot and I love it, the colour does seem a bit heavy (or dark) beyond the gull. But still speaking about colour, I'm green with envy that I didn't take it.

Yes... I did bump the sat up quite high, and I do wonder about it...
I do seem to be going though a phase of liking heavy saturations
