OK, here goes. I feel like I am putting my head in the lion's mouth.

These are images that I captured in the first week of owning my D70. I captured in JPEG as that is what I was using then (have now changed to RAW) the images were resized to 400 pixels. I hope they haven't lost too much detail.

Did like the array of colours.

I was horrified with what was done to the shellfish but liked the image, I hope I captured the warmth of the colours.

Thanks to everyone for their welcome and for their gentle comments. The shellfish are a tourist gift that is made in Hawaii, they are supposed to be used for nightlights for children.

From another newbie to the forum, welcome Terry. No need to be worried about posting your pics - I've quickly learnt that there are plenty of friendly words and great advice here. I like your 2 shots, especially the first one - you have a good eye for colour and chose an interesting subject. Good luck with your new toy - you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
