Southernmost Shoes.

hey there everyone. Found this pic in my Keywest Series. I was disgusted by all the hype over the huge concrete monolith that marked the southernmost point in the U.S. I pretty much ignored it and the throngs of people getting their picture with it. Unbeknownst to the majority, these shoes were farther south by at least 10 ft. I was wary taking this pic because the young lady who owned them and her rather tough looking boyfriend were sitting above them to the left on the ledge. I wouldnt' want anyone mistaking what kind of pic I was taking!
I have included another pic to give you an idea of what the southernmost point is. I decided to rebel and drag my kayak into it. Not the best shot but it gives you the idea.
take care!

The shoes makes for an interesting pic on human behaviour. This lady is obviously very neat and tidy and because they are tight to the corner she has a fear of theft.

Love the pic storm - look forward to seeing more

Storm, love the shoes, but then again I have a thing for womens clothing

I would love to see this image as a contrasty B&W with the shoes still red.

Would be interesting to see.

Mic.

hey mic,

I am still new in the contrasty color/bw methods of photoshop. Rich has tried to show me how to do it once before. He's awesome at the PP. This is my first attempt with layer masking and just erasing the color information. Was this what you had in mind? thanks for the feedback! I think I used the unsharp mask a bit too much on the shoes.
