For Big Lens Kipper - few shots from breakfast

On my stroll down to breakfast this morning took the 70-200 in case I saw a decisive moment. No moments, but caught a few birds which I thought I should post for Kipper to prove it can be done with a 70-200 (no TC). Must be my camo gear and stealthy nature.

All shots complete, no cropping. Yes Kipper, I know these aren't flighty 5cm high birds, they are about 20cm in height.

Glen they are beautiful shots but I think Kipper would be better off buying your 800mm setup (that’s if it is for sale)

I think Kipper is trying to shoot wittle birdies...
(robins, etc..)

I would use the Matt K technique, leave some food for them and then hit them with the capsicum spray

The last thing we need is a comment to bring PETA in here.

Our kipper know what to do and he's going to get a big gun for his desire.

Had a thought

Kipper could get one of those tree suits and if he stands still for a couple of days the birds will think he is a real tree

Better to hire someone to do that, Chris, otherwise he won't be able to take the shots.

Thanks Trevor, I was really out looking for a decisive moment, the closest I got was to choose between real coffee and decaf (real won), so these fellows were second prize

Yeah, the birds a nice, but for me what makes these shots is the soft pastel background, specially in the middle one.
Beautiful shots Glen.

No doubting these shots are nicely done. However the Rainbow Lorikeet I suspect is less timid then the small birds I usually hunt.

These are terrific examples of the Lorikeet(?), the colour and contrast is great, really vivid and sharp... #2's my fav out of the bunch...
