Taken at Barrington Tops National Park a few weks ago. Unfortunately the lighting was a little more harsh and direct than i would of liked. All comments welcome.
18-70 lens, CPL used, 1/60 @f6.3, iso320

This would have made a wonderful IR shot. I'm a little perplexed with the shot info you gave. 1/60 f/6.3 at ISO 320 doesn't indicate a very bright scene, even with the light loss from the CPL. The shot looks a little dark to me, perhaps -.5 EV under.

FWIW, on a shot like this, I'd go for max DOF, using hyperfocal focus, which would be f/11 at 18mm to give you DOF from about 3ft to infinity. That's about 2 stops down from where you were, so you'd need a tripod or ISO 1600. :)

Nice shot. One suggestion, though perhaps totally wrong, would be to focus more on the reflection, and leave most of the actual tree out of the photo, and compare it to this picture (maybe you already did?).

Kerry, i actually ntended to make the scene a little darker. I thought that i may of lost the blue of the sky if a used the metered value. But i agree, i would of liked to of used more DOF, alas i didnt take my tripod with me and didnt want to up the ISO anymore. Appreciate the comments :)

I wasnt sure to focus on the trees or reflections myself, took both and went with this one.

G'day,
Looks like a nice spot. Was the shot taken in the middle of the day? Couldn't get to the EXIF. Looks like the lighting would have been quite strong and "contrasty".
