Yes, every now and then Sydney has a Melbourne day. Last week we had one so i shot it.

Dark, grey, overcast and rainy. Taken at 0930 (AM)

Thankfully it doesn't happen very often.

Steve,

your pic is a bit of a contrast to those from the night mini meet :)

Reminds me of the view from my hotel room on a visit to Sydney last year (Mercure on Broadway):

I bet that wasn't the view that they have on the hotel website...
Nice shot of the brewery...

Steve... Some days are just like that... Usually the days when we don't have to work...

Some information you may be interested in Sydneysiders:

Sydney average annual rainfall...........................1220mm

Melbourne average annual rainfall........................600mm

Just something you may want to ponder before you bag the 'Mexicans' weather again

After our 'big wet' in Feb, we have had an extremely dry March, April and May, with very little or no rain, and beautiful clear blue skies and above average temps. It has been a while since we've had any sort of cloud cover!

Beautiful picture by the way Killa

My good lady wife, being a Queensland girl who moved to Melbourne, critically reviews
the weather on a daily basis, and likes to share her thoughts on this subject with me.

That pretty much absorbs every particle of interest I have in the
subject, possibly even slightly more than that.

However, it is a very good photo Steve :)

Trevor,

She's a lovely lady, but lost the lot in a gambling spree at the Casino. That's how she, er, "won" Greg. :)

That's a good reason for greater transparency in Casino gambling, don't you think?

Melbourne - world's largest experimental weather station!
Beautiful one day, frostbitten the next.
It doesn't rain, it drizzles (and drizzles and drizzles) :D

I must admit in all honesty that I have no problem with Melbourne per se.. In fact I reckon there are 2 great things that come out of Melbourne:

1. Carlton Draught
2. The Hume Hwy
